Modernized elegance in an architecturally-significant South Hill gem.
The Roosevelt
The Roosevelt Apartments was completed in 1929 and named for President Theodore Roosevelt, a personal friend of the land owner. At the time, the building was widely regarded as the most modern and luxurious apartment complex in the Inland Northwest. Designed in the Beaux-Arts style by renowned architect Gustav Pehrson, the building is set in the heart of the coveted South Hill neighborhood, and features 64 units, a grand foyer, an expansive garden level, and views of downtown. With consultation from a Chicago-based design firm specializing in redevelopment of historically significant buildings, the new ownership team fully restored the entire building interior, delivering modern amenities while respecting classic design features. The property is honored on the National Registry of Historic Places.
